The 2025 KUSMF Concerto Competition

At the Kutztown University Summer Music Festival, we recognize the importance of providing young musicians with exceptional opportunities to grow, perform, and showcase their talents. Performing with orchestras and in competitive settings not only enhances their artistic development but also prepares them for future professional endeavors.

We are pleased to announce the Concerto Competition, open to all participants of the Kutztown University Summer Music Festival. This is a unique chance for young artists to shine and share their passion for music.

The participants must perform one movement from the standard concerto repertoire by memory.

Categories:
Junior Division (Ages 12-17)
Senior Division (Ages 18 and up)

One winner will be selected from each category. The winners will have the opportunity to perform with the Kutztown University Orchestra during the academic year 2025–2026.

The participants will have two scheduled rehearsals prior to their performance.

Concerto competition application fee: $60*
*This is separate from the application fee for the Festival
