The 2026 KUSMF Concerto Competition

At the Kutztown University Summer Music Festival, we recognize the importance of providing young musicians with exceptional opportunities to grow, perform, and showcase their talents. Performing with orchestras and in competitive settings not only enhances their artistic development but also prepares them for future professional endeavors.

We are pleased to announce the Concerto Competition, open to all participants of the Kutztown University Summer Music Festival. This is a unique chance for young artists to shine and share their passion for music.

For this year, the competition will be held online. Applicants must submit a video recording of one movement of a concerto (performed from memory with accompaniment). Submissions are due by June 10. The video upload link will be shared with those who opt in to participate in the competition.

Categories:
Junior Division (Ages 12-17)
Senior Division (Ages 18 and up)

One winner will be selected from each category. The winners will have the opportunity to perform with the Kutztown University Orchestra and/or University of Macedonia Orchestra in Megaro concert hall of Thessaloniki, Greece during the academic year 2026–2027.
